BRINGHING ANIME TO BIRMINGHAM

 

Despite the ever growing popularity of anime in film and pop culture, it is still curiously difficult to view anime films, particularly on the big screen within the United Kingdom. This film festival which forms part of the BFI Japan season, will be the UK’s first dedicated Anime Film Festival. Celebrating the best of a traditional Japanese art form.

The vision for the festival is also to inspire a new generation of audiences to Anime inspired titles, universally presenting Japanese film culture in new ways which are accessible. Ultimately the project will connect international diverse film and the communities within the region through film exhibition.
